Good evening and welcome to a late “welcome to the new universal day.” Most of the Great State of Maine is socked in clouds currently, but Laurie, one of our admin team on the MABW, alerted me to the fact that Northern Aroostook is not. There is a VERY weak substorm in progress, and if you happen to be in the portion of Maine that is not under cloud cover, if conditions hold, given still rather bright moon- which seems like a very steep hill to climb- you may get some results. Here are our numbers:
Solar Wind Speed: 471 km/sec
Solar Wind Magnetic Fields: Bt 5 nT, Bz -4 nT
Possible sightings on camera, if you are in a place with no clouds, no light pollution, and can somehow capture something without the moon butting in. 🙂
