After veering off last night around 1 am, the IMF from last night is large and in charge this evening, hence, the big purple block of data far to the right in the above graph. We should have clear skies tonight, and, if conditions hold, hopefully those who were unable to see anything in the southern part of the state will also get a chance.

Sometimes what happens is the storm has a rebound during the day, which it did here, and a big one- levels were recorded on Glendale with strength up to 23.6 nT and Bz down to -17.1 nT.

I’ll be doing some live shows once I have the subscription site up and rolling to teach people about what all that means, but, in the meantime, let’s see if this storm holds up! The only issue is going to be the moon, which is nearing 75% full.

Thanks for being the best part of the night sky, Lizzie
