Well, what I said this morning and what Chris said this evening. 
A sudden strengthening of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field is indeed underway. There will be a stronger burst in about 15-20 minutes maybe but we’re not going to see much of anything because of the moon and those high wispy clouds rolling in. It would take an absolute hoolie to get through the moon right now, and any night photography will just end up looking like daytime.
Current Conditions:
swpc has issued a G3 storm warning. I’m not sure I really trust these numbers. They’ve had a bunch of equipment down today for maintenance and I think we’re probably in the negative numbers bZ wise, but, again- moon and clouds.
